The Hub Coffee Roasters is the dream of father and son caffeine addicts Mark and Joey Trujillo; a chance to introduce the biggest little city of Reno, Nevada to the third wave of coffee–the artisinal and culinary side of everyone’s favorite addiction! From our original coffeehouse located in Reno’s Midtown district, our presence in Reno has grown to include a roastery downtown and a new coffeehouse on Riverside drive in the beautiful Powning District, as well as an impressive line up of cafés, restaurants, and other businesses carrying and preparing our coffee.
Mark and Joey attended the American Barista and Coffee school in Portland, Oregon, where Joey became part of Portland’s coffee community, eventually becoming an instructor at ABC. Voted by Reno News and Review as Reno’s “Best Coffee,” we are a reflection of our hardworking team, whose constant diligence towards coffee quality, community, and the experience of drinking coffee have brought us to where we are today. We are a family business, with Mark and his two kids, Joey and Jessica, leading a team of passionate coffee professionals. Our family has also grown since we opened up the Midtown location in 2009 to include everyone one who has walked through the front doors of our locations. Beyond the coffee, it is the connections and community created everyday when we roast and prepare coffee for you.

You’ll find a seasonal, ever-evolving selection of coffee, delivered in whole bean, or prepared diligently with a variety of brewing methods, alongside a simple coffee-focused espresso menu. You will also find passionate baristas preparing and talking about our coffees. We want to serve you the best coffee we possibly can, with careful attention payed to sourcing, roasting, and preparation. We are passionate about what we do. And like any passion, we want to share it with you.
